Sample and Distribution of Sample in the YP2001
The Youth Panel is composed of two waves.
First wave is YP2001, starting from 2001 and second wave is YP2007, starting from 2007.
The YP2001 has been provided information of the youth who were born during the years 1972 through 1986 and The YP2007 has been
provided information of the youth who were born during the years 1978 through 1992.

The YP2001 has been conducted for the youth(approximately 5,000) annually by 2006. Now, the YP2001 includes various information of the Korea youth and will be provided in every two years from 2006, extending the survey cycle.
Youth Panel 2007(YP2007), a new wave added in 2007, has been built with 10,000 youth with an age range of 15~29 years as of 2007.

Note
Each ‘respondent retention rate’ was calculated by comparison with the number of respondents in 2002. Only those respondents to the 2nd year of the survey out of the 8,296 in the first year were used as standard datum.
A number of panels, whose survey was suspended temporarily due to military service or overseas training, were included in the remaining sample.
